What Butlerito Apps is
A free public directory of apps that a person has checked, and of ideas that are not built. There are no paid places, no paid positions and no paid badges.
Who can use it
- Butlerito Apps is for people aged 18 or over. You must be 18 or older to sign in and to send a listing; sign-in asks you to confirm it.
- Anyone can read the public pages, and anyone can report illegal content, as EU law requires.
- If you send a listing for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email you; there is no password. Keep access to your email safe, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You can delete your account at any time on your page. The privacy notice says what that deletes.
Listing rules
A listing goes through one of three doors: a store app, a web app, or an idea. A maker can have at most 3 listings at a time that are drafts, waiting for a check or published. A listing must meet every rule below. Each rule matches one reason we give when we turn a listing down; How we check shows each reason with its count for the last 30 days.
- A product. Something a person uses, not content, an agency, a template, a list or another directory.
- Released. It is live today: no waitlist, no closed beta we cannot enter.
- The right link. A store app links to Google Play or the App Store itself. A web app runs over HTTPS on the maker's own domain, not on a free-hosting subdomain or behind a link shortener.
- One real job. Not a tiny tool that many free tools already provide, and not mostly a prompt on someone else's AI model.
- Checkable. We can run the main path, or the test steps work.
- True. What the listing says matches the store page or the live site.
- New here. The product is not already listed.
- English or Bulgarian. For now we can check products in those two languages only.
- Lawful and honest. Nothing that breaks the law, impersonates someone, deceives people, spreads malware or phishing, or makes a claim we will not repeat.
- Ideas. An idea says who it is for, the one job and what would make it fail. It is always labelled not built and never shown as an app.
What you promise when you send a listing
- What you write is true, and you are allowed to list the product.
- Your links do not lead to malware, phishing or illegal content.
- Test steps contain no passwords and no one else's personal data.
Your rights in your listing
You keep every right in your product, its name and your text. You allow Surge Software EOOD, free of charge and without exclusivity, to store and show your listing on Butlerito Apps and in its public feeds (the sitemap and llms.txt), for as long as it is published. We change a listing only to remove something that breaks these rules, and we tell you when we do. The badge is optional: a listing never needs it or a link back.
How we check and decide
- Automatic checks. When you send a listing, the form checks the lengths of the fields and the links: a store link must point at Google Play or the App Store, and a web app must be on its own domain. We never fetch the link to do this. A failed check only keeps the listing as a draft, with the reason shown, so you can fix it.
- A person decides. A person checks every listing before it is public: the store page, the live app or your test steps, or the four questions for an idea. No automated system publishes, turns down or takes down a listing.
- Turned down. If a listing does not meet the rules, we tell you which rule, why, and what you can do, by email and on your page. You can fix it and send it again.
- Taken down. We may withdraw a published listing that breaks these rules or the law, after a report or after our own check. We tell you the rule, the facts, and whether a report led to it, by email and on your page. The public page and the badge stop working everywhere within a few minutes, and the withdrawal is final; you can send a corrected listing as a new one.
- Ask us to look again. Reply to the decision email or write to abuse@butlerito.com. A person looks at it again and answers. You can also go to court, or, where Article 21 of the EU Digital Services Act applies, to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.
Reporting illegal content
Use the report form, or "Report this listing" on any listing. It is our notice form under Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act. Give the exact address, explain why the content is illegal or breaks these rules, and confirm the report is made in good faith. Your name and email are optional; a notice about illegal content should include them, and you may leave them out when you report child sexual abuse material.
- You get a reference on screen, and by email if you left an email.
- A person reads every report. A report never hides or removes a page by itself.
- If you left an email, we email you our decision and how to challenge it.
- We may set aside reports that are clearly unfounded and keep coming from the same sender.
How listings are ordered
- Apps, ideas and job pages: by the date a person checked the listing, newest first.
- Home page: the six newest apps and the four newest ideas, by the same date. The job buttons show the six jobs with the most published apps.
- Search: listings whose name, job or "who it is for" contain every word you typed (up to five words), newest check first.
- Collections: in the order the editor chose, explained in the collection's note.
- Nobody can pay for a place, a higher position, a badge or a collection. We take no payment or commission from makers. There are no votes and no star ratings. Listings the editor adds are ordered the same way, and an app's page says who added it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Butlerito Apps to break the law; send false or misleading listings, or list someone else's product without their permission; impersonate anyone; link to malware or phishing; send spam or automated submissions; try to get around the checks, the rate limits or the sign-in; probe, attack or overload the site; or collect personal data from it. Automated reading of public pages is fine if it follows robots.txt and does not overload the site.
Money
Butlerito Apps is free. We charge nothing and sell no places. If we ever offer a paid feature, it will be optional, come with its own terms, and never buy a place or a position in the directory.
Our responsibility
- We check listings as How we check describes. We do not promise that a listed app works, is safe or suits you. Apps are run by their makers under their own terms, and links lead to sites we do not run. Ideas are not built.
- We work to keep the site available and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be.
- Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for intentional harm or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using Butlerito Apps and delete your account at any time. If we close Butlerito Apps for good, we will email people with an account at least 30 days before.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change affects people who send listings, we email people with an account at least 15 days before it applies, unless the law requires a change sooner.
Law and courts
Bulgarian law applies, and the courts in Sofia, Bulgaria, decide disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may also go to court there.
Contact and the DSA point of contact
- Single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act, for users (Article 12) and for authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Article 11): abuse@butlerito.com. Write in English or Bulgarian. A person reads every message; replies are not automated.
- Everything else: hello@butlerito.com. Privacy: privacy@butlerito.com.
- Email is the way to reach us; we do not publish a phone number.
